Which STEM programmes the world's top 100 universities actually teach: 1,258 university-programme pairs normalised to 31 canonical names, as CSV.

Programmes by coverage

How many of the 100 universities teach each canonical programme, and how many of the 19 countries it appears in. A programme is counted once per university, however many variants of it that university offers.

How the names were normalised

Universities name the same degree differently. Every raw programme name was mapped to one canonical name, and the mapping is the part of this dataset most open to argument, so it is published in full.

Limitations

Coverage is read from what a university publishes as a degree programme, at undergraduate level, in 2025. A programme taught only as a specialisation inside another degree is not counted – that is the whole point of the 12 for Artificial Intelligence. Rank is the ARWU rank of the university, carried over unchanged, and the top 100 has ties, so 100 universities do not occupy 100 distinct rank numbers.
